What is MultiRIP Film and Why Should Screen Printers Use It?
MultiRIP Film is a raster image processor (RIP) software that allows a standard inkjet printer to be used as an imagesetter to create high quality, dark film positives for screen printing. Once installed, MultiRIP Film comes preloaded with settings for the widest variety of industry film positive media and screen settings. Screen printers can control everything from the amount of ink used, which ink channels to pull from (one channel to an All Black system), resolution, frequency, screen angles and more. MultiRIP Film also provides a detailed preview capability to allow screen printers to zoom down to see the individual dots. For these reasons, MultiRIP Film is fastly becoming the preferred RIP for screen printers worldwide.

Compatible with over 20 Epson Inkjet Printers Worldwide
MultiRIP Film Desktop is compatible with the following Epson printer models: 800, 1270, 1280, 1290, 1390, 1400, 1410, 1500, 1520, 1800, 1900, 2100, 2200, 2400, 3000, 3800, 4000, 4800 and 4880 printers.
For the large format printers, MultiRIP Film XL is compatible with the following Epson printer models: 7600, 7800, 7880, 9600, 9800 & 9880 printers.
Print Directly from Your Favorite Artwork Program
MultiRIP Film will work with most graphic artwork programs (i.e. CorelDraw, PhotoShop, Illustrator,...) that you can print from. MultiRIP Film will install an indepent driver that allows your settings in your graphic artwork program (i.e. the size, shape and angle of your halftones) to print directly through the RIP software. Users can also make these settings the default in MultiRIP Film and use "RIP Defined" option. Click here for a video on how to set the RIP Defined settings.
Halftone Screening Settings (Frequency, Angle, Shape)
MultiRIP Film allows the use of halftone screening, thus turning your inkjet printer into a low-cost imagesetter. You can specify the screen frequency/angle at print time or you can defaults under the RIP Defined setting. Click here for a video on how to set the RIP Defined settings.
Preloaded with 15+ Different Types of Industry Film Positive Media
MultiRIP Film comes with the density curves for over 15 different types of industry brands of film positive media. While other Halftone RIPs try to limit the available types of film ensure continuing revenues. MultiRIP does not sell film positive media. So we decided to offer the customer the ability to choose which film positive works best for their business - whether it is price, quality, in stock / availability,... Users also have the ability to create their own density curves for films that are not listed as well.
Page Previewing
You can preview individual pages in both the output queue and the "processed jobs" queue. This can save a lot of time if a mistake is caught before expensive media is wasted.
Re-Print Pages without Re-Ripping
Allows you to re-print individual pages or colors from a separation with a few simple clicks of your mouse. Once the job has been processed, simply open the job item in the queue, select the pages you wish to re-send to the printer (1). Select the number of copies (2) and click "Print Selected Pages" (3). The selected pages will be sent to the output queue. When making multiple copies, the pages can be "stacked" (1,1,1, 2,2,2, 3,3,3 etc.) or collated (1,2,3, 1,2,3, etc.).
Print Composite Proofs From Pre-separated PostScript files MultiRIP allows you to print composite pages from PostScript separation files. This feature is very useful, as you can use the composite output to check for trapping and moire, or simply use it as a proof to show the customer. If using halftone screening for output, you can select the angle and frequency for CMYK and spot colors.
Print Separations from Composite PostScript or PDF files MultiRIP allows you to print CMYK separations from a composite PostScript files or PDF files. If using halftone screening for output, you can specify the angle and frequency for the CMYK separations.
Density Calibration MultiRIP includes our Q-Curve™ utility which will allow you to apply a density curve to your composite or separated job. You can curve the color plates individually or apply the same curve to all. You can use the graphical curve interface or enter the desired density numbers.
